Inside Conor McGregor’s Houses: Where Does the MMA Star Really Live?
If you like boxing, fighting and martial arts then you might have heard the name of Conor McGregor. He’s an Irish professional mixed martial artist and boxer. And today we are going to talk about Conor McGregor’s house. A lot of his fans wonder where does Conor McGregor live? Well, I haven’t personally visited his house myself but here is what I found out – what he owns, where his homes are located and how one of the world’s most famous MMA fighters choose to live. Let’s get started then.
Conor McGregor’s Irish home
Let’s start with the base in Ireland. McGregor bought a house in a rural Co. Kildare, Ireland, which is specifically in the Straffan area. According to one resource he acquired a home which is known as “The Paddocks” near Straffan for approximately 3 million euro in 2019. And this puts his Irish home kind of securely as his primary home location.
His house includes five bedrooms, six bathrooms, spacious living area and dining rooms including a gaming room too with landscaped garden fronting the River Liffey. What surprised me is that despite his superstar status the home has countryside calm, not a hypercity penthouse, so it seems he values some peace and quiet away from the octagon and spotlight.
Mega mansion plan in Ireland
On the top of his Irish home McGregor has ambitions. He is planning to demolish and rebuild a much larger mansion on the same property in Straffan. The plan envisioned for a six bedroom luxury home with two giant basements, one underneath the main house housing an indoor pool, cinema, gym, sauna, jacuzzi, treatment room and another separate basement for a bar, game room and car parking.
The scale is very huge, the replacement of the house would cover 3073 metre square compared to the existing 605 m square. But the local council flagged issues. It tells me that even someone at McGregor’s level dealing with property still runs into typical planning and local authority hurdles.
The Las Vegas Mansion
Since McGregor fights and trains internationally mostly in the US he has had residence outside Ireland too. One such is a mansion in Las Vegas that he bought in 2015. This house has seven bedrooms and a 50 ft infinity pool, spa for 10 people and its own mini golf course in the backyard, not just that but also a room for 10 cars in a garage. While it appears he may have rented this property or sold it later in 2017, but it shows McGregor keeps or he has kept significant US real estate presence.
The Marbella / Spain holiday villa
Another interesting house purchase. McGregor also owns a luxury holiday home in Marbella, Spain. In around 2018 he reportedly bought a villa in The Heights development overlooking the Mediterranean near the La Resina Golf Course. This villa features things like LED light driveway, swimming pool accessible direct from the bedroom, spa, home gym and ocean views. This clearly serves as a getaway spot for his partner and kids to get sunshine and relaxation away from the hustle of the city.
How many houses does Conor McGregor have?
Putting everything together he has the Irish main home, plans for mega mansion there plus a US home for his Las Vegas activity and a holiday villa in Spain, so at least three houses possibly more.
Final thoughts
So to circle back, where does Conor live? His main residence appears to be in Ireland with additional homes in US and Spain. He has luxurious homes and is planning for major upgrades. While I haven’t stepped into these actual rooms, what is publicly available paints a picture of a busy global athlete with homes that reflect who he is.
If I have to sum it up: his Irish base anchors him, the US property supports the business and the holiday villa creates a family relaxation spot.
