So where does Tim Allen live now? And where has he lived before? Well, one of his most talked-about homes was in Hollywood Hills West, LA. In 2012 he bought a ranch-style house there for about 1.5 million dollars.
This wasn’t a massive mansion but a cosy and functional place with character. This house was built in 1963 where you would see a white plank pine floor which feels warm and classic, and an open-plan layout with a stone fireplace that gives the den a rustic but refined feel.
This house includes three bedrooms and three bathrooms and total living space is around 2600 square feet. If you talk about outside, it is a lot of just under a third of an acre, surrounded by mature trees. It feels like a hidden retreat in the hills.
One of the coolest things about Allen’s house are a deck, French doors and windows opening out to canyon views. And guess what, he even had an outdoor shower with a fire pit that feels like a perfect combo of laid-back living.
According to Hello Magazine, Tim lived there with his wife and their daughter. The house has also eco-friendly touches like solar panels and efficient irrigation.

Tim’s not just about his home as he has a pretty serious workspace too. His favourite room, as he calls it, is his office in his North Hollywood compound.
This is a very massive place, not just an office. This place includes a shop floor, a woodworking bench and a collection of roughly 30 cars.

Most of the resources point to that Hollywood Hills West house I mentioned before. According to some resources, it is in West Hollywood near Nicholls Canyon Road.
Even though he sold that Hollywood Hills home later in 2016, it is still widely reported as his LA base.
