Matthew Perry House

If you have watched television series Friends then you must be knowing Matthew Perry! Remember Chandler Bing from the series! It was Matthew Perry who played this character and became very famous. Perry also appeared on Ally McBeal and received Primetime Emmy Award nominations for his performance in The West Wing and The Ron Clark Story. Today we gonna talk about Matthew Perry house and where did he live! Let’s get started.

Where is the Matthew Perry house?

Well, if you heard Matthew Perry house then people are referring to the specific Pacific Palisades home where the Friends actor spent the final years of his life. This house is more than real estate because it is tied up to his legacy, struggle, and ultimately the tragic end! This house was built in 1965 and it’s a mid-century modern place and modest-looking but a meaningful one.

During his ownership Perry made some big upgrades in this house and most famously he added a raised pool with a Batman logo on the floor! Yeah, he leaned into his inner Bruce Wayne. 😎

Where did Matthew Perry live?

And that’s the question that comes up a lot especially because Perry moved around over the years! The Pacific Palisades house was his main house later in life but he bought it in 2020 for about 6 million dollars.
He also had few other properties that include a Hollywood Hills house and previously a Malibu beach house.

Now this is the heart of the story! Perry’s home in Pacific Palisades was a four-bedroom and 4.5-bath property. It is not a big luxury mansion but it has a peaceful feeling with kind of mid-century design.
The raised pool he added is just awesome. And the Batman logo in the pool is a very unique touch that symbolises his love for the character but maybe also a reflection of his own persona.

The tragic night!

Now this part hits me hard whenever I think about this! In October 2023 Matthew Perry was found unresponsive face down in the hot tub of his Pacific Palisades home. The autopsy revealed he died from acute effects of ketamine combined with drowning.
Knowing that this house was where he lost his life is a heavy emotional weight. It’s not just a celebrity home but a place that’s now inextricably linked to his final moments.

What happened to the house after Perry’s death

After Perry passed there were a lot more things that happened to the house. In October 2024 it was sold in an off-market deal for around 8.55 million to Anita Verma-Lallian, a real estate developer and producer based in Arizona.
What makes things interesting is that the new owner expressed a desire to honour Perry’s legacy, not erase it, so she said she plans to keep some of the actor’s personal touches including that Batman logo in the pool.

This tragedy with his house is a mix of sadness and admiration both! Sadness because the house ended up with such tragedy and admiration because how much the home reflects his personality like creativeness, playfulness, and seriousness.
